I can't use my phone as a hotspot on my Warp 5G(Previously Super LTE) line

The ZTE Cymbal-C Z233 VL DOES NOT support native tethering/hotspot either through wifi or USB.
If the error message you receive is "Mobile number not found" or "Authentication Failed" and you're using a carrier-branded smartphone, there is a possibility that you won't be able to use it as a hotspot. This is because the phone's hotspot feature is coded at a firmware level to check for a hotspot subscription with the original carrier, and therefore will not work when used on another carrier's network.

If you are able to use data and other services, but still face issues with mobile hotspot, please go through the following steps to resolve the issue:

First steps

  1. Make sure you're in an area with coverage.
  2. Make sure that you have hotspot added in your current plan.
  3. Verify that hotspot is turned on.
  4. Restart the phone.
  5. Please check these steps on your phone:
  • Check that Wi-Fi is turned on and make sure it is within 15 feet of your phone.
  • Make sure it's connected to the right Hotspot Wi-Fi network.
  • Restart the phone.
  • Try accessing a different website or app. If they work as expected, the hotspot is not the problem.
  • Delete the Wi-Fi profile on the phone and re-add it.
  • Close or disable any programs running in the background and clear the browser cache & history.
