How to transfer your number from one carrier to another

This article will help you in finding the Account Number and PIN needed for porting out from many major carriers operating in the US.

Before you begin the activation process for transferring your number from your previous carrier to US Mobile, please make sure that you have contacted your previous carrier and have retrieved the Account Number and PIN for your line. Both these bits of information are unique to every number and carrier, and for this purpose, you will need to get in touch with your previous carrier for the exact details. Also, please ensure that the number you have is a US-based number so as to avoid any issues later on in the porting process.

The porting of a number can generally take around 24-48 hours, depending on how cooperative the previous carrier is, while it can be longer for VoIP or landline numbers, which can take up to 7-10 business days.
