How can I switch between GSM & Warp 5G?

Transferring your phone number from GSM to Warp 5G, or vice versa, is a little different from simply transferring your number from one SIM to another, with both of them being on the exact same networks, immediately. In this case, since you're switching between networks within the same company, it is similar to porting your number into US Mobile from another carrier altogether. Here's how you can go about transferring a number between the GSM and Warp 5G SIM cards:

1. Verify that your phone is compatible with the other network. You can use the compatibility checker built into the networks page, or better yet, ask us!

2. If you don't have one already, obtain a corresponding SIM card. The US Mobile Starter Kit has both

3. Ensure that your number is still in service

Since the underlying networks for both of the SIM cards are different, any unused plans will be lost as part of the transfer. Hence, we recommend waiting till your billing cycle is almost up before submitting the transfer request

4. Contact support on chat and ask for the account number and PIN against your number. This information is unique to each phone line and cannot be found anywhere on the account dashboard

5. When you're ready, go to the activation page

6. Proceed through the activation flow until you're at Step 4

7. Choose Keep My Phone Number

8. Enter your phone number

9. Choose US Mobile (GSM Network) or US Mobile (LTE Network) as the case may be

10. Enter your Account Number

11. Enter your Password or PIN

12. Click Continue

13. Continue with the rest of the activation steps

Once you've completed the activation process, you'll be able to see the status of your port-in request. The line will also show up in your account:

Clicking More Details will show you the current status of your port request:

We'll email you when your port completes or if we need more information. Feel free to continue using your old SIM card in the meantime. Once you receive the go-ahead, replace the old SIM with the new one and restart your phone.
